Shelby Tudor
ACTOR, SINGER, DANCER, STORYTELLER
MY REELS
THIS IS MY STORY
Since the first time Shelby Tudor stood under stage lights, she fell in love with theatre and knew that was want she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Theatre for her embodies everything creative that she's made to do: singing, acting, dancing, drawing, writing, and collaborating with others.
Shelby Tudor grew up in Pembroke Pines, South Florida where she would always sing and dance and perform for her family. She did gymnastics for 6 years and can currently still do minute long handstands and roundoff backhand-springs. In the summer of 2009 her mom enrolled her in The University for the Fine and Performing Arts (UCPA). For her first play she played a hobo who saved a hospital named Bum and since then until 2014, performed in 16 shows with them. In high school, she went to Somerset Arts Conservatory where she performed in several shows, individual events at districts, showcases and was a Cappies Theatre Critic. She did four processes with the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts where they spent three weeks writing, workshopping, and performing brand new musicals.
Shelby graduated from the University of West Florida with a BFA in Musical Theatre May 7th, 2022. The last four years, she's been able to grow in her vocal, dancing, and acting training while getting to be in 8 shows and several showcases. She's also been moderately learning all aspects of creating theatre helping in the painting and set shop, and taking classes for directing, writing and designing lighting, sets, and costumes. She's used what she learned with the campus ministry she was a part of: BCM, editing videos, running the social media platform, and singing in worship. Her senior year, she created a "Creative's Bible Study" where she got experience teaching, encouraging and leading others and is putting together and directing a showcase, giving space for creatives to explore their faith in a loving environment.
After college, she'll be going back to the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts for three weeks as an intern and is excited to continue to travel and audition and see where life's going to lead her to.
